Academic Courses and Projects
Currently I am studying Robotics, Systems and Control at ETH Zürich.
I have a Bachelor degree in Informatics from KIT Karlsruhe.
Notable courses I took during my bachelor studies were:
- Computer Graphics
- Interactive Computer Graphics
- Photorealistic Image Synthesis
- Development of safe embedded software using Rust
- Seminar paper on optical computing
My bachelor thesis was on stochastic cloning Kalman filters, a method to incorporate relative measurements (measurements relating states at different time steps) into the Kalman filter.
During my bachelor studies I was also active in the Kamaro student association, where we participated in the Field Robot Event, a competition for agricultural robotics, and some other competitions as well.
Projects I particularly liked were:
- Building the low cost robot prototype Dschubba based on Lucy Fauth's hoverboard firmware
- The Sick Robot Day 2018 for which we built a specialized robot and could apply algorithms from robotics lectures, in particular particle filters
- Using the RealSense R200 as a low cost NDVI measuring camera
The Kamaro group got me interested in the subjects of agricultural robotics and I continued to study in this area.
Here are some courses I took on the subject at ETH:
- Innovation in Smart Farming
- Crop Phenotyping
- Semester Project: Development of a Camera System for Measurement of Geometry Parameters of Individual Wheat Plants
